One of the First Twitch Streamers – Reckful Dies by Suicide

Former professional esports player Byron Bernstein, aka Reckful, has died at the age of 31.

According to his ex-girlfriend, Bernstein committed suicide. The streamer’s death was confirmed by his roommate, according to journalist and insider Rod Breslau.

Before his death, Byron, via Twitter, proposed to one of his ex-girls. Later (about 50 minutes later) he wrote the following: “Ah, I feel sorry for those who have to deal with my madness. Please just know that in such situations the insane person has no control over his actions.”

In October 2017, a streamer reported that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, just like his mother. Bernstein also said that his brother committed suicide.

Byron Reckful Bernstein was quite popular in the WoW community, so many MMORPG fans were upset to learn about the guy’s death. Users decided to honor the memory of the streamer, for which they came to the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind and knelt down.
