Cloud9 Valorant player Jordan Zellsis Montemurro has been fined by Riot Games for making an obscene gesture towards an opponent during a match against NRG at VCT 2023: Americas League.
The cyber athlete announced this during the stream.
After a successful round, Zellsis simulated performing oral sex. According to him, the penalty was “for sucking air”. To make up for the monetary loss, Montemurro began collecting $10k through donations from viewers, but clarified that this was not necessarily the amount of the fine, as he could not give a specific number.
The match between Cloud9 and NRG at VCT 2023: Americas League took place on 23 April.
